Nomination approved

Well, my 150 word pitch is approved, my $80 has been handed over, and I’ve been given an electronic copy of the electoral roll.  Not sure what value that is going to be, as I’m not intending to re-enter the dark ages and produce and distribute leaflets!  Nope, this is going to entirely be an electronic based campaign, as much as anything to test how easy it might be to gain support using the internet and social media.

So over the next few weeks, I’m going to be making a number of posts regarding what ideas I have for the local community, and I hope people will post their responses either on Facebook or here.  I’m genuinely interested in getting peoples feedback and their involvement, particularly if you live in the Central Ward of the Joondalup electorate.  If you aren’t sure, this Ward covers Kallaroo, Craigie, Beldon and Woodvale.

I understand the current member is standing again, and believe that these things usually roll-over, so my expectations are realistically low.  But given you’ve got to be in it to win it, I’ll be giving it a red hot go.
